How Focused Branding Turned a Complex Service Suite into a Seamless Customer Experience, Driving Improved Sales

Ampion provides support services to renewable energy companies. When they approached me, their business was good, but they were having trouble articulating their core value. By focusing on descriptions of their product features, they were inadvertently encouraging customers to cherry-pick services. This diminished the benefits their customers experienced and made it harder to sell complete solutions. Ampion enlisted Ora for help in clarifying their message and brand presentation.

Workshops identifying core brand attributes uncovered the founders’ activism supporting solar energy policies. This passion drew clients seeking advice on improving operations. Building on this insight, “Champions of clean energy” became an early brand catchphrase. The new name, Ampion, derives from “champion” and builds on “amp” and “ion” – conveying both the company's function and passion for renewable energy.

The Ampion Lightening Bolt

The Ampion Bolt adds a dynamic quality to the designs and is unique to the Ampion brand. It is used to create a focal point in a layout and to highlight key messages. It can be used in any of the brand colors. It can be cropped to show as much or as little as needed to create exciting layouts.

The Ampion Website

Targeted towards busy developers of solar energy, and knowing the a live demonstration of their platform often lead to a higher value client, the Ampion website was launched as a single page designed to generate interest in a demo. 

Ampion’s solutions to key pain-points are highlighted. SEO terms were subtly woven into the copy to increase organic traffic while maintaining the overall voice of the brand.

Results

The new company name, logo, and graphics reflect the brand's activist personality.

The new website describes the benefits of Ampion's unique SAAS offering, making it easier for the sales team to sign up new customers.
